CLASS NEWS AND NOTES
At this time of year, the preschoolers are focusing on all of the blessings God gives to us and how we can say “thank you”! Thanksgiving is a celebration of God’s goodness – for the Pilgrims who came to this land so long ago, and for us today. Our Bible stories about Moses, Joshua and David teach us that God cares for us in many situations and provides family and friends to care for us too!
We are thankful for the blessings of food and homes. We’re studying corn and the many ways it is used for food. We planted popcorn and watched it sprout; we learned how it grows and popped some to eat. Making corn muffins was also a fun and yummy treat! Our 4-year-olds will visit Tops Market as part of our food unit.
God blesses us with our homes. We live in a house – animals live in many different places. Turkeys live outside and make nests on the ground. Sometimes they fly up into a tree to roost, especially at night. Baby turkeys are called poults, the father is a tom and the mother a hen. We enjoy discovering God’s world and of all His blessings in it! Contact Mrs. Makey at trinitywspr@yahoo.com |
